Playgroup Easter Egg Hunt

We had a little Easter egg hunt at playgroup. There were other kids on the playground, so we decided to set up on the basketball court. I didn't realize that the boys would be more excited to see the basketballs then to collect the eggs. They finally lost interest in the balls and started looking for eggs. Notice the basketball in Anderson's basket. Harper lost interest in the hunt when he found some see through eggs and saw the Goldfish in them!

Harper's Presents

Harper was definitely spoiled this year for his birthday. He loves opening his presents. Aunt Meredith and Trent got Harper a basketball hoop and a bowling set.
Slam Dunk
Grandma and Granddaddy Ware got Harper a glider bike. It is a regular kid bike but it doesn't have pedals. It is supposed to teach little kids how to steer and balance without having to pedal too. Harper hasn't quite figured it yet. He puts his feet on the peg and asks to be pushed. He will get it though.
Even though I requested no presents at his party, many of his friends brought him presents. He got a bathing suit, some books, a paint set and a coloring book.
Meme and Poppy Lancaster got him a new bath towel. They also got him a truck piggy bank with gold dollars and a chalkboard easel.
By the end of Sunday, Harper was "all done" with his birthday. He had too much fun!

Harper's Birthday Party

We had Harper's birthday party Sunday afternoon at Hampton Lake. We were planning on having it on the playgroup, but when it started raining as we were loading the car up, we started to get nervous. We set everything up in the indoor playroom. Five minutes after the party was supposed to start, we decided to move everything to the playground. It didn't rain on us, so Allen made the right decision! We had a great time and I think the guests did too!
Here is the invitation that Marcy made for us.

Harper did so good when everyone sang Happy Birthday to him. He wasn't shy or anything.
He took one bite of cupcake and was all done!
Thanks to everyone for coming to Harper's party and making it such a special day. We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends. It also meant so much to us that all of our family traveled to attend his party.

Jasmine's Gymnastic Meet

Straight from the Easter egg hunt, we headed to Florence for Jasmine's state gymnastics meet. This was her last meet so we wanted to be there. Jasmine did great. She got one 2nd, two 3rd and one 4th places with 4th place overall. She got her best score ever on the balance beam!

I am having some issues with the videos. I will try again later.

Easter Egg Hunt

We went to the largest Easter egg hunt. A local church hosted it at the high school football field. They advertised 50,000 eggs. I think that everyone in Bluffton was there. The football bleachers were almost full of people. They were so organized. They had so many volunteers. The broke the hunts down by age group. Harper was in the under 2 group-which went first. Everyone lined up around the football field and there were enough people to fill almost the whole perimeter. Harper and I just walked straight down the field and he gathered eggs as we went. Only once did he see an open egg and get distracted by the candy. He ended up with a full basket of eggs!
Many of Harper's friends were there. We were able to get a picture with Cole and Logan.

Picnic Lunch

Harper and I decided to take advantage of the Spring weather and have a picnic outside. We just set up the blanket in the front yard. Harper loved it, but didn't eat much food. I gave him a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for the first time. He said yummy, but only ate two bites. He was more interested in playing with his outside toys.

This is all he ate of his lunch. The sandwich only started as a half!
