Playing Outside

I just had to capture the boys playing outside today. They just looked so cute!
Harper wasn't interested in the camera. This is the best I got. All of the rest were literally blurry because he kept moving so fast!

Go Heels!

Here is an example of a typical photo shoot around our house.
One kid smiling
Other kid smilingNeither kid looking
And done!
And of course that was all in about 30 seconds. Better luck next time!

Snow Day

We started out our Saturday at tennis lessons. Harper did great and I think he is really enjoying them.
We then went straight to Snow Day. It is a festival where they make snow for the kids to play in. They also have about 20 bounce houses. It was a really fun day spent outside. We had lots of help from our friends since Allen was out of town. We are so grateful for all the dads who helped Harper in the bounce houses! We played in the bounce houses for about an hour, before Harper said "I thought there was supposed to be snow here?" So we then headed to the snow.
Throwing snow balls
They shoot the snow out of giant hoses. Harper was loving it!

They also had a toddler spot where the little kids could play. Holden wasn't too sure, but he didn't cry. I think he was just happy to be out of the stroller!
I think this face says it all!
Then it was back to the bounce houses. They boys were so cute, they would all hold hands down the slides. Harper and Logan were especially sweet to wait for Chase who is only 2.

Doesn't this picture just make you smile?
Harper got a balloon at the end. He was so brave and went by himself to get one.
I thought this was such a smart way to tie on the balloon.
Snow Day was a success! We all had so much fun and left tired!

Gymnastics

Allen is out of town this weekend for work, so I needed to find new fun stuff to entertain the boys. So we headed to Fun Gym at the gymnastics place. Harper was a little nervous at first, but luckily Logan was there to show him the ropes. By the end he said that he loved gymnastics and wanted to come back everyday! Holden loved it too. I would put him down to help Harper and he would climb on anything he could. He can't even walk, but he would climb on the balance beam.
Hanging on the bars
Harper balances on everything, so he loved the beam!
His 'I love gymnastics' face
Another of his favorites, jumping from the trampoline into the foam blocks.
Holden taking a break on the steps
Swinging
Harper is already counting down the days until he can go back again!

Holden is 14 Months Old

Holden is just changing so fast. I am not ready for him to be this big already!

-He usually takes one long afternoon nap, like 3 hours. But if he is in the car at all during the morning, he will fall asleep.

-He stopped being the perfect eater. He is boycotting most fruits and vegetables, but will eat just about everything else. He still shovels his food in as fast as he can.

-He is making no effort to walk. He can cruising on stuff, but has no confidence without something to hold onto.

-He is so sweet. He is usually quiet and content. But he still screams when you take anything away from him. And he also screams when an older kid just gets close to him, because he knows that they are going to steal his toys!

-He loves to copy. If you laugh, he does. If you say, I am going get you and tickle him, he rubs his belly and tries to say getta. He also repeats all sounds that you make. His favorite word is up. But he does call everything daddy and he screams it hundreds of times in a day!

-He is into everything. If he finds an unlocked cabinet, he goes through it or just climbs into it.
-He is all boy. He loves all cars, steering wheels, etc.
He can often be found crawling around with a car in his hand.
We love this sweet boy so much and are so excited to watch him grow and learn!

Harper's Follow Up

We went to Harper's follow up dentist appointment today. His bottom teeth are no longer loose! He can resume eating apples and corn on the cob. She also said that his lip should continue to heal on its own and shouldn't need to be cut. Yea!

We Have a Sandbox

And the boys love it! We all helped clear out the grass, but Allen did all of the hard labor! Then we added sand and played.
But Holden quickly climbed out to start climbing the ladder!
But we were out again, early the next morning!

Goodbye to the Mall

The boys and I headed to the mall today. It was a sad day. They are going to tear down our mall and build a new outdoor one. Harper loves the animals at the play area, so we had to go say goodbye. He also wanted to take pictures of all of them and make sure that we print them out.
The turtle has always been his favorite But he sure did love the dolphin today. He named him Dash like the one in his lighthouse book.
An attempt at the boys together
Harper loved climbing on top of the clam shell
and Holden loved climbing inside it
The alligator
Peeking out the lighthouse window
Posing in the lighthouse
Holden liked sliding down anything that he could. He would say "Weee" the whole time.
Crawling through the tunnel
Peeking through the tunnel
Just had to share this one
Harper having fun in the tunnel
The boys and I had a fun time. We brought our lunch to eat in the food court, since there is only an ice cream shop there. Harper did get some ice cream though. We are so sad to say goodbye to our mall friends and we just hope they find a good home somewhere else!
