Harper's Fun Day

One of Harper's favorite things to do is to go to the pet store.  I am not sure what he likes more-the animals or the little shopping carts.

After the pet store, we actually went in to eat at McDonalds.  Harper put the Happy Meal box on his head.  I actually think that Holden started it!

Olympics

Harper has been really into the Olympics.  He has also been into exercising.  He was going through my exercise stuff and found some swim caps and goggles (Allen and I did a triathlon years ago).  He even wore them to the pool at playgroup!

  

 I can't believe that Holden let me put these on him!

I just told Harper that I was going to use these pictures when they were in the Olympics, when they grow up.  He said "I can't be in the Olympics, how would I get in the TV!"  So cute!

Bow and Arrow

Harper waited so patiently for Allen to get home from work to make him a bow and arrow.

Allen's Birthday

We celebrated Allen's birthday by spending two days at the beach.  Friday we met another family there.  The kids all played so well together.  Allen helped them dig holes and make walls to protect against the waves.

Then on Saturday we met the whole gang for a great day!  Holden loved pushing this truck around and this is how he puts his hat on.

We went out to dinner then listened to Jordan play some live music.  The perfect night!

Dinosaurs

 I got these dinosaur costumes at Michaels on clearance.  Aren't they so cute!

 

Holden is 20 Months

Holden is 20 months and wild, crazy and fast!

-He is so smart.  He is constantly adding words to his vocab.  Most of them are about food-bite, yummy, snack, eat, more, please!

-He is so sweet and will just walk up to you and give you a hug and kiss.

-He has finally started calling me Mommy (not Daddy) and it is the sweetest sound.

-He calls his poop "ewhhs".  It is pretty funny.

-He loves to dance anytime he hears music.

He is my climber.

New Pool

I just got this new pool to replace our old one that got a hole in it.  It definitely looked bigger on the box!  But the boys don't seem to care!

Water Park

We took the boys to the water park today.  We go every year and it is such a fun day!  We got a disposable water camera, so I'll post the pictures later.

Sprinkler Fun

The boys had so much fun with the sprinkler in Michigan, that I bought them one.  They had so much fun here too!

It's Hot!!!

We have been without air conditioning since Saturday night.  It is nice that we don't have to pay for it, since we are renting.  However, we are at their mercy to have it fixed.  The unit had to be replaced so they got 3 price quotes.  It has been 91 degrees in the house.  We have only been staying here to sleep.  Several people offered to let us stay, but it is more work to stay somewhere else, so we have stayed.  It really hasn't been that bad.  We have been eating lots of popsicles, watermelons and ice chips!

The workers just left and the a/c is running again!  They said it will take awhile to completely cool off, but it feels wonderful already!

Also, I updated our Memorial Day post with some pictures that the photographer took at the Hampton Lake party.

Water Park

We went to the Water Park at Shelter Cove tonight.  They set up a bunch of bounce house and some water slides. It was too hot for the regular bounce houses, but the boys had fun on the water slides and in the sprinkler.

20 Week Ultrasound

We are half way through this pregnancy, isn't that crazy.  We had the ultrasound today-everything looks good.  We didn't find out the sex of the baby.  Both boys were there to see.  Holden was just very concerned and Harper kept telling him, "It's just the baby".

We got a whole disk full of pictures, but I was scared to look at them incase I found out the sex.

18 Month Check Up

Holden had his 18 month check up a little bit late.  Here are his stats:

Weight 24 lbs (18-19%)
Height 30.5 inches (2-3%)
Head 19 3/4 inches (93-94%)

The doctor was happy that he was finally on the charts for height and head size.  He says that he actually grew a lot since last time, according to the charts.  Everything checked out good!

Style

This is what Harper picked out to wear to school today.  What do you think?  I told him that he can't wear caps to school.

 

Holden didn't want to be left out-he needed his sunglasses too!
