Ware Visit

We had a great visit with the Ware family over Thanksgiving. We decided to host this year and try to get new family pictures, since the last ones were 10 years ago, when Allen and I were engaged! Janet, with Silly Goose took family pictures while everyone was in town. Click here to see the pictures. They turned out really good.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving meal with all of Allen's family, Jenny, Jasmine and Jack. Also our friends Ali and Jack came. Jordan had a show to play.

Of course, we all got haircuts and celebrated Holden's birthday. We rode bikes, went for walks, played on the playground, feed fish, played LOTS of tennis,
went for a boat ride
and wrestled with daddy.

Holden's Birthday

Today is Holden's birthday, we had such a fun full day.
I had a hard time getting a good morning picture.
Everyone headed to Oatland Island. We had a good time walking in the woods and looking at the animals. Harper had to be the leader and kept saying it was because he had been there before.

After Oatland Island, we headed to Savannah to have a picnic at Forsyth Park.
Harper had so much fun making music with this guy.
He even got to play the drums!

Harper kept doing these monkey bars over and over again
Both boys loved swinging

We then headed home for naps (Meredith and Trent stayed in Savannah to explore). After naps we went out to eat.
Both boys must have been starving!
We sang Holden "Happy Birthday" and he enjoyed eating the frosting from his cupcake.
After dinner, we went to Harbour Town for the Greg Russell show. I really wanted him to sing Holden "Happy Birthday". There were so many people there and Harper just wanted to go home. At the very end, he asked if there were any birthdays and I rushed Holden on stage. Greg was not very happy that Holden was so little, but he agreed to sing.

Another attempt at a family picture
Holden fell asleep on the way home. We had to open his presents the day after his birthday, since we were so busy on his actual birthday!

Harper pushing his around

Of course, the box is more fun than the toys!
Holden kept trying to ride on this little train!
We had just a great time celebrating Holden's 1st Birthday!

Holden is One!!!

I can't even believe that Holden is already one!

-Nothing has changed on sleeping and feeding. He is down to only nursing in the mornings. He only has one bottle-the one before bedtime, the other two feedings are in sippy cups. Still takes 1-3 naps a day.

-He is really starting to get into everything. He has learned how to open the cabinet doors and he always wanting to find out what is inside them.

-He has started pulling up on everything. Still not really wanting to walk though, he prefers using his knees.

-He points at everything and says "dis". So we aren't sure if he is going to learn to talk!

-He really is a sweet boy and just goes with the flow. He really only screams when Harper takes his toys.

We just love this boy so much! Here are Holden's stats:
-Weight-18 lb 12 oz (<5%)
-Height-28 inches (<5%)
-Head-19 inches (<95%)
The doctor was happy that he is finally on the charts. He said that he grew as much as he could, since he couldn't just jump up a bunch. He is healthy and happy!

Holden's First Haircut

Meredith came to town for Thanksgiving and everyone got haircuts, even Holden. I was a little nervous to cut it, but it turned out real cute. He looks so old now!
Before-look how long those bangs are
He did really well during. I ended up holding him, to get to the back.
After-now such a big boy!

Holden's Favorite Thing

Holden has been really into the dishwasher. Whenever it is opened, he plays in it. He loves to slide the basket in and out and to crawl into it.

Balance Bike

Since Harper has figured out his scooter, we have been practicing on his balance bike. I told him that when he learned how to do it, that he could get a big boy bike.
I trimmed Harper's bangs for the first time. I just couldn't stand them in his eyes. They are pushed down because of his helmet though.

Softball

Tonight was Allen's last softball game. The season hasn't been very good, but I think he had fun anyway! It really cooled off tonight, so we were in shorts during the day and coats at night!
Last year, Sue had shirts made for the boys. Here is the front
and the back

School Pictures

We got the boys' school pictures back this week. Janet took them and she always does such a fabulous job! Harper insisted on wearing a tie. I told him he had to wear a collared shirt and pointed to some pictures we have framed. Well he was also wearing a tie in some of the pictures, so he wanted to wear his tie!
