Hudson is 8 Months Old

I can't believe how fast Hudson is growing up.  He will be 1 before we know it.
-He is still a skinny peanut.  This is the age that the other boys started beefing up, so I hope he will also.  He is eating mostly real food-peas, carrots, beans, toast, crackers, bananas, etc.  I am still nursing and he gets an occasional formula bottle.

-He has started sleeping better at night.  Allen will usually give him his pacifier once.  He usually wakes up to eat about 6:30 or 7, then he goes back to sleep a few hours.  He usually doesn't take another morning nap and makes it until Holden's naptime about 1.

-He just had a bottom tooth pop through!  No more big toothless grin for this baby!

-He is still stubborn and won't sit up.  He also still prefers to be held and won't entertain himself.  I have started getting about 5-10 minutes of him in the bouncing exersaurer.  At least he is happy when he is being held!  He also lights up when he sees Allen, Harper and Holden.  We sure do love this sweet baby.

4th of July Decorations

Harper was so excited to get out our 4th of July decorations.  Pre-kids we used to have a white trash party.  You dressed up in camo, biker gear, whatever.  We played beer pong, had a keg, served tator tots, etc.  So I had a bunch of tacky decorations.  He had so much fun decorating, it was so sweet to watch him.

 I tried to upload a picture of the previous parties, but the quality wasn't very good.

Holden's Swim Lessons

Holden also had swim lessons these past two weeks.  He really has improved.  He just wants to be in the water where he can touch.  Then he has no fear and will put his face in the water constantly.

We had vacation bible school at our church last week.  It was at night and it really wore us out!  But Allen was able to help out this year.  He did flag football and I helped with the crafts.  Harper loved it.  Holden and Hudson stayed in the nursery.  Harper is doing the same program at a different church this week.  It is great because he is really learning the songs and memory verse.

Concert

Harper decided to have a concert after church.  He set up on the platform of the stairs.  He had a guitar, the tablet and a tip box.

Swimming and Bugs

Harper had his last swim lesson this week.  He has really learned a lot these past two weeks.  He has been swimming the whole length of the pool!  They do zippers-3 big arms then switch to their backs.  It is supposed to help them learn how to breath right.

 After swim lessons we went to the pool in our neighborhood.  Do you think Holden needs a haircut!

Sand Gnats Game

Today was our 11th anniversary and we took the boys to the Savannah Sand Gnats game.  It is a minor league baseball team.   It was a fun night.  The boys enjoyed the ballpark snacks of ice cream and soft pretzels.

When we got home, Harper got 2 special seashells out of his collection and gave one to Allen and me.  He said it was our anniversary present.  That boy just melts my heart!

ABC Scavenger Hunt

Today we had a ABC scavenger hunt in the playroom.  I laid out cards with letters on them and the boys had to find items that started with each letter.  They had fun and we even got some learning in!

 

Swim Lessons

Harper started big kid swim lessons this week.  They are supervised by Coach Kathy, but teenagers from the swim team are the instructors.  Harper has already learned so much and is swimming so good!  He is the one in the blue goggles.

Palmetto Bluff Concert

We took the kids to the Palmetto Bluff concert series tonight.  Cranford and Sons were performing.  Everyone had a great time.
