Hudson James

Hudson James was born today.  I can't believe that we had another holiday baby.  He was 8 lbs and 2 ounces and 20.5 inches long.  Because he was born at 36 weeks, he had premature lungs.  They tried to help him in Hilton Head, but they were unable to give him the care he needed.  He was helicoptered to MUSC in Charleston.  The helicopter only fit the crew, so we were forced to stay in Hilton Head.  I was thankfully discharged the next day and we were able to drive there.  The hospital staff kept us very informed on his condition though.

His breathing hood.  He was making the most pitiful sounds trying to catch his breath.

The boys were able to peek on him through the nursery window.

The helicopter crew brought him in to see us before they headed out.  There was so much equipment on the stretcher that we had a hard time even finding him on it.

Halloween-Trick or Treating

What a crazy Halloween we had!  Since Allen and I were in the hospital, Allen's parents took the boys trick or treating with all of our friends.

Fall Festival

Harper's school had their Fall Festival tonight.  This was our third year attending.  We always have such a good time.  The boys really enjoy it.
First time Holden actually wore his mask!
The highlight of the night is pony rides.  I waited in line for about an hour while Allen took the boys around to the carnival games.  Harper was so excited to ride Ginger.

Holden was not so excited, which really surprised me.
It took an army to walk around with him

 Batman face painting!
 Cookie time!

Field Trip

Harper had a field to the pumpkin patch today.  Good thing Allen had a day off, because I didn't feel comfortable going by myself.  I am just too big to chase Holden around!
Harper's class.  The teachers were smart to get a group picture as soon as we got there!

Pumpkin Carving

Allen and Harper carved a pumpkin tonight.  Harper was so into it.
So excited for the gross part!
Harper cleaned out most of the insides by himself.
Holden didn't want anything to do with it

 Concentrating on carving the face.
The finished pumpkin.  Harper wanted a scary face.

We got out the Halloween bubbles tonight.  Both boys loved blowing bubbles.
 Trying so hard!
