Weekend in Review

Well Allen is traveling again. This is his last trip for awhile. He is in Puerto Rico with all of the sales people from his work. They sold a certain number of lots last year, so they all got to go on a trip. He left Thursday morning. We have been busy, busy, busy while he has been gone. You already know that we hit the daffodil fields after school on Thursday. Lewis was also out of town, so Emily, Ella and Harrison came to our house for dinner.

Friday was a jog, playgroup, quick nap and then we met some friends at Island Playground. They had some passes about to expire, so they were nice enough to share them with us.
Harper loved the obstacle course bounce house. Holden and I went through it a few times, but it was quite the workout caring Holden!
Holden was a little unsure of the bounce houses, but finally got comfortable crawling around the big ball one.
He did like riding this horse though!
Harper also loved climbing this rock tower
Holden preferred opening the doors in the play kitchen
We got pizza to eat in the car and rushed to swim lessons. Then it was baths and bedtime.

Saturday we had tennis lessons, ran to the outlets and the grocery store. After naptime, we had Avalyn's birthday party!
Sunday, I was a nursery volunteer at church, so no break from the kiddos! We were going to go back to the daffodil fields, but they were sold out! So it was Harper's idea to go to the Palmetto Bluff Treehouse. We had a great time and I got some great pictures. I did plan for the boys to coordinate, but I didn't realize that I did too until we got there!

Now Harper goes to Awana, while Holden and I run a few errands, then it will be baths and bedtime and Allen should be home about midnight! We have almost survived!

Daffodils

It's Daffodil time again. We met some friends for a picnic lunch at the fields. I always look forward to the pictures, but my camera is still in the shop. It was such a nice day. It was actually hot-about 75 degrees.
Too many accessories?Showing me all of his flowers
Too much going on to look at the camera
Crawling out of his photo shoot
The older boys
Holden needed to wear his hat too
Only good one from Holden's second photo shoot
Harper out picking some more daffodils
Doesn't Ella look so grown up?
Attempt of a picture with the boys
Of course, my camera was delivered this afternoon. Maybe we need to go back for some better pictures. The boys weren't real cooperative anyways, so even my nice camera wouldn't have made them look!

Day O' Sea Pines

Allen took the day off today, so we could have a family day. We have both been traveling and needed to spend the day together. It was Allen's idea to spend the day in Sea Pines. We started off at the petting zoo. I couldn't believe how brave both boys were. They wanted to pet every animal.
Feeding the goat
Callie the deer was more social today
We drove to Harbour Town and then rode bikes to the beach
Playing in the sea reeds
Back at Harbour Town, we stopped for some drinks
Then we played on the playground
It was way past naptime and Holden didn't want to get out of the swing, so he cried
We had such a fun day. It is nice to get out and play tourist in our own town!

President's Day Weekend

I got to have a girls weekend! My sorority sisters got together in Northern Michigan. We had the best time catching up. We all got to the cabin late Friday night. We woke up Saturday to lots of snow (ok maybe 4 inches). We went into Traverse City for lunch and some shopping. Then it was off to the Grand Traverse Resort for pedicures. We then went out to dinner. Sunday we hit the wineries and relaxed at the cottage. Monday we all made the trek home. I will post more pictures when I get them.

Christine and I watching the girls play Just Dance on the Wii
Sporting our DG shirts
This picture just makes me smile, how we are all laughing so hard. I think it was the awkwardness of the timer on the camera.

Outside the Schoolhouse winery (my favorite one)
The view of the lake
Mary Lou and Jim came down to help Allen out while I was away. They had a blast and it was so great to not have to worry about what was going on at home.
Making a cake
Planting some flowers

What we didn't do anything or maybe it is tah-dah?
