Happy Baby

Holden has really started smiling. He really is a happy baby. I just love taking pictures of his beautiful smile!
Harper wanted to get in the picture too
All that smiling wore Holden out-actually sleeping in his carseat!
Just had to get in a picture of the peanut in a swaddle
Harper likes wearing his hat the "wrong" way. He was also running the bases on our couch!

Cuddle Time

The boys were so cute this morning cuddling in our bed.
They are both making the "no more pictures" face.

Sunday

The sun was finally out! We went to feed the ducks in our neighborhood.
The ducks
Allen went to the other side of the pond to try and get the ducks to come to us. They were still scared.
We decided to try and feed some birds in the field by our house.
Throwing the bread
Allen went to work, Holden took a nap and Harper and I played in the playroom.

Playing instruments. He used them to hit the balloons like a bat.
After naptime, Holden was showing off good neck support.

Holden and Jack

My sister had a baby 3 weeks before Holden was born. We have been terrible and never gotten their pictures taken together. Well we finally did this week at the nursing support group. Jenny has to go back to work on Monday (please say some prayers for her), so this was her last time at group. Holden weighs about a pound more than Jack, but Jack is longer. Holden is also busting out of his winter clothes. Good thing it is getting warmer here, because we don't have the next size in winter clothes!

Smiles

Holden was all smiles this morning as he watched me attempt to work out. Of course, the pictures weren't as cute as real life, but here is a sample.

No More Diapers

Hopefully! Harper has had dry daytime and nighttime diapers for about a week. So I decided to let him try to nap without them. He did great-no accident! But at bedtime, he told Allen that he wanted to wear underwear. I was pretty nervous, because that morning, he had peed in his diaper. But he did sleep until 9:15, so that might have caused it. No one wants to change crib sheets in the middle of the night! He did great. It has been 2 naps and 2 nights without diapers and he hasn't had an accident yet! Let's hope he can keep it up!

Superbowl Party

The Collerans hosted a great Super Bowl Party, but I didn't take any pictures. They don't have cable, so somehow they were able to set up a huge projection screen outside to watch the game. The men and older kids played outside and ate oysters. Harper even ate a few. The women and babies stayed inside where it was warm. Allen did take a few pictures.

The night wouldn't be complete with burning some Christmas trees!

House Update

The house is really coming along, even despite all of this rain. Thursday night we were able to walk through and check out what the rooms are going to be like. It is so exciting!
Harper loved running through the walls!
It is starting to look like a house!

Playing Outside

We had such a beautiful afternoon today, we just had to get outside to play. It was sunny and 70 degrees!
Finally big enough to reach the pedals!
Harper made 2 baskets in a row!
Drawing a rainbow with chalk
Hitting the baseball
Balancing on the wagon
We even went for a walk in the wagon
Holden enjoyed his bouncy seat for a few minutes
Then it was time for a nap
Cassie was also happy to be outside

Here is Harper riding his bike down the "big hill". We live in the lowcountry and this is about all we get for hills!

I feel just a little bit guilty of posting these pictures, when this is what my family in Michigan woke up too!

Harperism

A few funny stories of Harper lately.

-Yesterday, he stuck a peanut up his noses. He was eating peanuts and very casually turned around with his finger up his nose and said I am trying to get this peanut out of my nose. I thought for sure we were going to the hospital, but I was able to get it out by pinching the bridge of his nose.

-I guess we have been getting lots of presents in the mail. Yesterday we received two phone books on our front porch. Harper thought they were presents. He said the little one was for Holden and the big one was his. We now have to read the phone book in our bedtime routine!

-Sunday we were walking into church. He stopped in the parking lot and said there was something on his pants. I went to investigate and he said no inside my jeans. I reached up from the ankle and pulled out a pair of underwear! I guess there were leftover from the last time he wore those jeans. I just don't understand why it took so long for him to feel them in there!

We sure do love his silly boy!
