Holden is 8 Months

-His eating/sleeping habits are still the same. Eating every 3 hours, solids twice a day. Usually takes 3 naps a day and sleeps about 12 hours at night.

-He says mama, dada and nana (which is what he cries when he is tired). Of course, he doesn't actually know what he is saying.

-No crawling yet. He really doesn't like to be on his tummy and usually just instantly rolls over. He will scoot on his back where he wants to go.

Pool Fun

We had a fun time swimming tonight. Holden even enjoyed hanging out in his float. I don't trust him sitting up in the pool yet, so it offered some nice protection and he could just sit in the shallow end.
I just love this action shot

Matching PJs

The boys really don't have too many matching outfits, but the clearance racks are helping that! Here they are in almost matching Big/Little Brother shirts.

Playground

We are getting spoiled living right across from the amenties at Hampton Lake. We often go and feed the fish, play on the playground or play in Fish Tales. Here are some pictures of us enjoying the playground.

Swim Lessons

Harper is taking his summer swim lessons. He goes every day for two weeks. Monday he told me he wasn't even going to get in the pool, but he did (with a popsicle for a reward). He was scared of jumping in, even holding the coaches hand. By Wednesday, he was jumping in my himself and swimming to the side.

Diaper Drive

My bible study held another diaper drive this year. We don't have an exact total yet, but it looks like we received about 14,000 diapers! That's alot of clean bottoms!

Vacation Bible School

To top off our busy week when we got home, it was also VBS at our church. I was the craft teacher for the 4-6 year olds. I had over 100 kids come through my class every day. We did some awesome crafts and tried to teach the kids about Jesus. Harper was also able to participate. He loves listening to his music in the car, but mostly the first song (he calls it the beginning). Friday night was family night and the kids got to show their parents what they have learned. Harper's class didn't go on stage, but his new buddy Isiah did so Harper went along.
They also had a few bounce houses to play in. Harper loved this huge slide.
Isiah is next to him and they aren't really doing the gestures.

Michigan Trip

After 42 hours in the car, we are home from a wonderful trip to Michigan. We drove the usual 15 hour drive to my parents house, then we went 6 hours north!

Harper quickly started jumping off the diving board
Nathan and Holden after the trip to the farmers market. I was able to get some apple orchard donuts and an apple cider slushy.

We headed to Munising on the 6th. My grandma was turning 80, so we had a family vacation there.

We then looked at the pictured rocks from above.
Dinner was taking too long, so we had to get creative. We challenged Nathan to eat 6 saltines in 1 minute. He couldn't do it.
Ron thought it would be so easy, but he couldn't do it either. We laughed so hard and caused a big scene at the restaurant!
We stopped and spent the day in Mackinaw City on the way back. All of the grandkids get to plant a tree with Poppy, when they are 3. Here is Harper planting his tree.
Having too much fun watering the tree (or themselves) with Poppy.
We had a great trip and hope to see everyone real soon! Harper had so much fun playing with his cousins, especially going to Amy's to play restaurant.
