Day O' Sea Pines

Allen took the day off today, so we could have a family day. We have both been traveling and needed to spend the day together. It was Allen's idea to spend the day in Sea Pines. We started off at the petting zoo. I couldn't believe how brave both boys were. They wanted to pet every animal.

It was way past naptime and Holden didn't want to get out of the swing, so he cried

We had such a fun day. It is nice to get out and play tourist in our own town!

President's Day Weekend

I got to have a girls weekend! My sorority sisters got together in Northern Michigan. We had the best time catching up. We all got to the cabin late Friday night. We woke up Saturday to lots of snow (ok maybe 4 inches). We went into Traverse City for lunch and some shopping. Then it was off to the Grand Traverse Resort for pedicures. We then went out to dinner. Sunday we hit the wineries and relaxed at the cottage. Monday we all made the trek home. I will post more pictures when I get them.

The Children's Place had flip flops for 99 cents, so I got some for the boys. Holden doesn't know how to put his toes in, so they are a little tight, but he loves to wear them!

Happy Valentine's Day

The boys got to open their Valentines Day presents before school today. Harper got a vet kit and Holden got a truck.

Cleaning Up Dog Do

Harper is learning about being green and helping the earth at school. So he wanted to clean up Cassie's poop today. He started out doing it all. Then he smelled some and only wanted to hold the bag. Then he quickly decided he was done. This was all in the span of about 3o seconds.

First Attempt at Two Wheels

During our run on Friday, one of Harper's friends rode his 2 wheeler without training wheels. So Harper has been asking to take his training wheels off. Sunday after church, we were ready for the challenge. I don't think Harper realized how hard it was going to be. Pretty much the only thing he said was "Don't let go Daddy" over and over again. You gotta start somewhere, right!

Warning-there may be fewer posts for awhile. Allen finally mailed in my camera to be fixed. One of the knobs broke off over Halloween, but I just couldn't part with it to be repaired. But it was finally time. I do have a regular camera, but it just isn't as good!

Trail Walking

Harper had a great idea to walk the trails by the grocery store. He just said it out of the blue on the way home from school. We waited until after naptime and daddy got home for our adventure. It is about 1.5 miles and we all had fun. We found fun things to do while we explored nature.
