21 Months

Harper is 21 months. We just keep getting closer and closer to 2!

He is just so much fun! This month will probably be a short post. Too busy with Christmas-sorry Harper.

He loves to play. We have so many toys that it is overwhelming! He still only has about a 2 minute attention span. So we go through lots of activities in a day.

He loves to point to things and name them-lights, ball, no-no (still anything Christmas).

He is such a sweet boy. He still likes to cuddle after his nap and watch Dora, Diego, Bob the Builder or Elmo.

He is very opinionated. If he wants to watch something, he has to watch it. If he doesn't want to eat something, you can't get him to. If he doesn't want to wear something, he won't.

We love this boy very much and enjoy watching him grow everyday!

More DG Babies

We were able to get all of the Delta Gamma babies together for Christmas. Mary was brave enough to host 5 babies/toddlers and 5 sets of parents. The kids had so much fun playing together. It took a minute for them all to warm up, but by the end of the night, they were chasing each other around. We tried to get their pictures. It is so good to get together and that we are all still so close even though we live on different coasts!
Harper loved this vacuum
Adalyn-isn't she so cute!
The boys just didn't want to sit for a picture.
Harper kept laying down and Dan would pick him back up.
We couldn't even get Andrew on the couch!
The babies were happier with their moms!

Let It Snow

Harper got to experience some snow while we were in Michigan. He is not sure about his boots though. He also didn't want to wear his hat!
That's enough walking-"Poppy carry me please!"

Playing in the Cupboard

Harper decided to play in the toaster cupboard the other night. We have pictures of all of the cousins in cupboards and I am excited to compare the pictures. I will scan them to the blog after the holidays.
This is Harper's new "Cheese" face. Yes he closes his eyes on purpose.

Making Cookies

I was trying to make some cookies today and Harper really wanted to help. I let him sit on the counter and play with the frosting. It suddenly went from fine to crazy. He was covered in frosting. He also kept wanting his picture taken-he was saying more cheese.

Library Breakfast Party

The library had a breakfast with Mrs. Clause today. Harper did better with her than Santa. It was a fun way to spend our morning. Harper ate three donut holes! They then had a brief story time before all of the kids got too hyper.

Bullman Christmas Party

Allen and I actually went out for a night without Harper!!! My niece, Jasmine babysat for Harper for the first time. He had such a good time. We actually got to be adults not parents! The party was great-great food and great people. We had a White Elephant gift exchange. I am not going to post the 8 x 10 picture of Mark in a Speedo that we got. Great idea though! Of course, we finished the night with a game of Celebrity. We stayed out too late and unfortunately Harper woke up too early! I will post more pictures later, but the Internet is being too slow!

Christmas Crafts

Every year I try to do a Christmas craft with my friends. It has always been an ornament. Some years have been more successful than others. It is just hard to come up with ideas. This year I stole the idea from our church's Christmas Bazzare. I think it was a success.

Tub Pooper

We now have a tub pooper. It has never happened to Allen nor I. I know that Harper has pooped in the tub before, but never for us. Now we have both been victims. You think we should learn to not bath him after eating.

Christmas Cards

My friend Marcy from high school is making Christmas cards. She did ours this year and it is awesome. I will post it once there has been some time for the mail to deliver them!

You just pick your layout, email her your pictures and any changes. She them sends you the template (4x6 or 5x7). You can make as many changes as you want (not possible with big chain stores). Then you print them out at the venue of your choosing. I did mine one hour at Walgreens for $10 (100 4x6 prints). It is so much nicer, more personalized and cheaper than ordering them from a big chain. She also does party invitations, birth announcements, change of addresses, etc.

CBS Christmas Crafts

I know I have said it before, but Harper has such awesome CBS teachers. Here are their Christmas crafts.

This was my gift from Harper. I don't know how they got him to do such good handprints.
More perfect handprints
They made Baby Jesus out of a sock-so cute

Dove Street Lights

Tuesday night Emily, Lewis, Allen, Harper and I headed to the island to check out the Dove Street Christmas lights. We have lived here about 8 years and have never experienced them. It is one street that goes overboard with Christmas lights. On the weekends, they have Santa there and free hot chocolate. There is also a golf cart tour. It was quite a sight to see. I always wonder how long it takes to put them all up! Here is just a sample!

Adventures in Babysitting

Our friend Cole was inbetween daycares. Cole is about 2 weeks younger than Harper, but a lot bigger (his dad is 6' 7"). Harper and I volunteered to watch him for a few days. The first day was more tiring, I thought that I actually had to play with them. The second day I (and the boys) realized that they could play by themselves. Harper had so much fun having a little buddy around for 2 days!

I loaded the boys up in our bike trailer (it turns into a double stroller). Just to discover that the tires were completely flat. So flat that I couldn't even pump them up. Luckily Allen was able to fix it on his lunch hour.
Playing outside. I only got one picture before Harper moved!
Cole stayed for a couple more pictures.
More playing outside
Unfortunately, I had to close the sandbox because Harper kept throwing sand!
Playing Connect Four
Can you believe the boys would rather watch this tiny TV then the one in our great room. I think it was because they could push the buttons! It only lasted a few minutes anyway (gotta love the attention span of a toddler).
They loved playing under the dining room table. It was like a fort with the table cloth down.
They crawled into the baby bath tub. Too funny! (I was getting Harper's baby stuff together for our friends that are expecting a baby hopefully any day now!)
Lots of fun playing marching band with plastic spoons and bowls.
