The Circus

The circus is in town! The four of us headed to the show today. Harper was a little concerned that the animals were going to get him and eat his food. I explained that they would be far away and in cages. I also told him that the elephants were nice. The circus has a preshow where you get to go down on the floor and meet the performers and they bring out the animals. I was worried that Harper was going to get scared being so close, but he ended up loving the elephant.

Dancing like the clowns
Here is what Holden thought of the show
Suzy, the 46 year old elephant. Harper's favorite part of the show. He has named his toy elephant Suzy.
Proof that I was also there, even though Harper's eyes are closed
We had a great time and the kids did great. Holden stayed in the baby bjorne most of the show. Harper watched the show so intently. He did sit on Allen's lap when the lions came out though.

McDonalds

It finally got nice enough to play outside. Allen had a lunch appointment, so the rest of us headed to McDonalds after Harper got out of school. Unfortunately the playground was wet and in the shade, so it was pretty cold. Harper was jumping in the puddles and slipped so he was soaked. I didn't want to change him though until he was done playing. He ended up wearing my jacket, so then I was freezing!

Just alittle big!
Bouncing-this is the only thing he likes to do. He doesn't like to actually play in the play area.
We did have quite the adventure. Harper had to go potty twice. His shoes were soaked so I had to carry him and push Holden. Then somehow take his wet clothes off without letting him touch the ground. Then I had to change Holden's diaper, so Harper sat in Holden's carseat. We had a good time though!

Bike

The Wares got Harper this bike for his second birthday. It is called a glider. It doesn't have any pedals, it is supposed to teach them how to balance. We just haven't really worked with him on it. Jonah just turned 3 and can already ride a two wheeler without training wheels, because of his glider! Mary Lou wanted Jonah to teach Harper how to ride his glider. Well he is much better on it, but he still just walks on it. That is the first step though, eventually he will be able to put his feet up and glide like he is riding a bike.
Here is a very short video of the action.

Extreme Home Makeover

The Extreme Home Makeover team was in Beaufort, SC working on a new house. They were supposed to do the reveal-Move That Bus-sometime between 2 and 6. That is naptime around our house though, so we had to wake Harper up early. We still didn't make it in time though, but it was cool to see the house. Now we can't wait for the show to air, so we can see the inside.
Plus, we got to try our our new sit and stand stroller. Harper thought it was pretty cool that he could stand on the stroller.
But he wouldn't take a picture on it.
One final picture of the house.

Harper in Kings Mountain

Harper went to Kings Mountain for the first time without us. We have left him there for a night when we went to the mountains a few times. But this was the first time that he was there and we were at home. We went Jim and Mary Lou in Columbia for dinner and Harper left with them. His second cousin (?) Jonah was going to be at his grandma's, so they wanted to get the boys together. They hadn't seen each other since Harper was 3 weeks old! They went on an adventure Saturday. They rode the Lynx train into Charlotte and went to Discovery Place.

After Discovery Place, they all went to the twin cousin's birthday party. Harper played hard all day and didn't even think about us!

Sunday he went to Sunday school and big church. They had fun riding bikes and playing in the snow.

Monday, Mary Lou drove all the way to our house to bring Harper back. She then stayed for a few days and even got to go with Harper to CBS!

Thanks for a wonderful weekend for everyone! I honestly thought that I was going to get all of this stuff done while Harper was away. I soon realized that Harper wasn't the problem, Holden is the one who requires the attention! I did get caught up in my scrapbooking during naptimes though!

Brotherly Love

Harper loves holding Holden. They just looked too comfortable and cute to not take some pictures.
Big kiss
I just thought Holden looked so sweet sleeping on our walk.

Bumbo Seat

I came across the Bumbo in the attic, so I decided to give it a try. I think Holden is still a little young, but Harper was excited to use it.
Of course, Harper had to try it out too!
Then he insisted on eating his breakfast in it the next day!
I think that Holden looks like Holden. When he pouts, he looks like my sister Jenny. I think that in this picture he does look like Harper though-well with chubby checks.

New Hat

The Collerans got Holden this adorable hat. It is alittle big, but it is still cute.

Harper's Pictures

Allen watched the boys while I went to bible study. They had fun with the camera.
