New Horse

Sorry Meme, but we completely forgot about this horse. It was a Christmas present from Meme. I put it on the top shelf in Harper's closet after Christmas. He got too many presents and we didn't have enough room for all of them. I decided to pull it out this week. As you can tell, he really likes it!

Cheesey Face

Harper has started doing a new cheesey face. The pictures don't really do this justice. He constantly does this, it is his new smile. He had oranges for lunch, so his tongue is orange. I don't know why his nose always looks orange in pictures-maybe we need to lay off the yams!
Just reading a book!

Fripp Island

Sorry it took so long for me to post things. For some reason the pictures wouldn't up load.

Clayton wanted to do something extra special for Grayson's 30th birthday. He decided to surprise her with a weekend in a beach house on Fripp Island (near Beaufort, SC). He also decided to invite the gang.
The house was on a canal and a short walk to the beach.
Grayson was pretty surprised. Clayton blind folded her for most of the car ride!
We grilled out for dinner on Friday night. Here is the gang (minus Grayson's sister and brother in law-they got there later since they were driving from Ashboro, NC).

The guys were so excited that the house had a golf cart. They headed to the beach late night for some fun and took some pictures.
Allen won poker! Here is a picture of his winnings. We are so proud!
I even played some games, which by the way I won!
We went to Weezie's Crab Shack for lunch on Saturday. It was the closest place that was open. It was kind of scary with a spider on the wall (discovered after we ate). They were also serving jello shots for $1, but they didn't settle so we passed on them.
We were all pretty exhausted from Friday's late night. No one would be happy if I posted the tired pictures from Saturday night. We had a great time and agreed to plan weekends away more often. Thank you so much to Clayton for organizing everything!

Stuffed Animals

Harper has recently started to love stuffed animals. He just gets all smiley every time he sees them.Harper has been to two physical therapy sessions. He is making great progress, but he still hates to be on his hands and knees. We are really going to work hard on that this week. She did say that he might just walk first, but it is important to get coordination from crawling.

Sorry I haven't posted much lately. We haven't done any blog worthy activities. Also we have started Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University at church. We are really enjoying the class, but there is a lot of homework at the beginning. We are trying to create a budget. It hasn't been fun!

Clean Sweep

Allen won Sales Executive of the Year for 2008! We are all so proud. He actually tied with Chad for the number of sales, so they both won. I should have quit work along time ago! Just kidding! Harper and I are so grateful that he works so hard, so we get to spend our days together. We appreciate all that he does for our family. He is truly the best father and husband and we love him so much!
The picture is kind of random, but I don't have too many of just Allen. Plus it shows him hard at work. He likes to take pictures of the fish in Hampton Lake to send to his prospects and clients. It works!

New Clothes

What better reason for a post! Since Harper is now 10 months old, I have decided that it is time for 6-9 month clothes. The plain 6 month clothes are getting tight and the pants are finally alittle short. The new clothes are still a little big. I am a sucker for the clearance rack-why does anyone pay full price for baby clothes. We were working on his pt exercises, but his pants were too long, so we had to roll them up. Of course I couldn't resist a picture of his bare feet. By the way, the pt said barefoot is best.
This kid has one great head of hair!

PT Update Take 2

Harper finally got to meet with the physical therapist today. I will jump to the verdict for you eager readers...We are going to meet with the pt every other week until Harper learns to walk. She was pretty impressed with what he could do, she was expecting less from his prescription from the doctor. She said his muscle tone was all great except his ankles. He tested at 10 months for reflexes (bracing himself when falling). She was concerned with his transition (go from laying down to sitting) and locomotion (pulling up and crawling). I can't remember with transition, I thought it was 10 months, but she was concerned so it must not have been (it is all so confusing!). He tested at 8 months for locomotion. This is a 20% difference, which means that he probably won't qualify for free services through BabyNet. He will find out about that later though. She wants us to work on kneeling, pulling up, pushing the ride on toy, cruising around the table and climbing over my legs, pillows, and obstacles. We will schedule a meeting with her next week and she will go over the activities again and give us handouts, then the following week we will begin the actual pt. Our pt has an 11 month who isn't crawling. That made us feel better! Overall, I am happy with the outcome. I was nervous that we might have to go three times a week and that would have been a lot of work. I think twice a month is very doable. I just hope that he learns to walk on time or we could be doing this for 8 months! Thanks to everyone for all of your concerns and prayers! We appreciate everything!

UNC Overalls and SuperBowl

Grandma and Grandpa Ware got Harper these UNC overalls back in October. I thought they were 9 months and he is slowly outgrowing his 6 month pants. I pulled them out of the closet only to discover they are 6-9 months and they fit him perfectly. I must say that he is pretty cute in them!
WIDE open mouth laugh
Melanie and Ron had everyone over for their Superbowl Party. Melanie is a HUGE Steelers fan and the house was decorated with everything Steelers. We all had a great time!
Static-Thanks Clayton!

Harper Update

We had our goal meeting with BabyNet on Tuesday. Our goal is for Harper to crawl 3-5 feet and to be able to pull up to standing more consistently. We have our physical therapy evaluation on February 4th. This is just such a time consuming process. I now know why most babies are crawling by the time they get through the meetings!

He has started scooting. He will go about a foot. He has also started pulling his knees under him. He will be crawling in no time!

He now has his two front teeth!
Do you think someone needs a haircut?
His new favorite activity is moving from one toy to the other. He won't let go-both hands need to be touching something.

Harper is 10 Months Old!

Harper is 10 months old today-where has the time gone? He is still not interested in crawling, but he has been spending as much time as possible on his stomach. He has learned how to scoot backwards, but not on his knees-just the army crawl. At least that is progress. Harper hasn't been into into real fruit until recently. I cut up a banana for him for breakfast and he decided that he wanted the whole thing. I must admit-he did really well with it!
Gotta fix the hair first!
Sorry that most of our pictures are always in the high chair!

We have been pretty busy lately, but I have been very bad at taking pictures. We had two birthday parties last week. JP turned 2 and Delia turned 1! We had fun attending both parties and getting ideas for Harper's big day! I got to go to a Moms Night Out at Truffles-that was a real treat! I have started scrapbooking again. It just takes so much time-I am almost finished with 2003! Luckily we didn't take too many pictures before Harper was born. I am trying to be disciplined and get caught up before I scrapbook any of Harper's pictures.

Our computer is still acting up, but at least it works. I just thought the DVD player was also functioning by itself and I got freaked out, but then I discovered that Harper had the remote! That was a relief!

Teething Harperman

Harper has been cutting his two top teeth for a while now. They finally got the best of him Wednesday night. He had a rough night and day.

Isn't it so pitiful-thankfully Harper isn't like this often! Luckily, he is doing much better now. Back to a normal sleep schedule too!

These pictures were from Thursday too, so he wasn't pitiful all day!
